Triin Paja is an Estonian poet. She is the author of four collections of poetry in Estonian and a recipient of the Värske Rõhk Poetry Award, the Betti Alver Literary Award, and the Juhan Liiv Prize for Poetry. Her translations of poetry into Estonian have been nominated for the August Sang poetry translation award three times; her own poetry has been translated into Czech, Finnish, English, Russian, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Slovenian, and she is a member of the Estonian Writers’ Union. 

Her English poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in over sixty journals, among them Poetry Magazine, Ploughshares, Rattle, Prairie Schooner, and The Cincinnati Review. Her English poetry has also received two Pushcart Prizes and her chapbook, Sleeping in a Field, won the Wolfson Poetry Chapbook Prize. 

She lives in rural Estonia with her husband and cat.
